Design Works Gaming now live in New Jersey via Resorts Digital Gaming partnership

It’s official! Design Works Gaming (DWG) is now operational in New Jersey. The casino content studio has entered the market thanks to a partnership with Resorts Digital Gaming. Games from the studio can be found at resortscasino.com and mohegansuncasino.com. The launch marks the first time that DWG offers real money gaming in the United States.

What to Expect from the Launch?

So, what can players expect from DWG in the Garden State? Already, such titles as Armadillo Artie Gone Wild and Wonders of Africa can be enjoyed online. More games will come in the future including bespoke content created by Resorts and DWG.

The integration of the online casino games was completed via the distribution platform of SG Digital, known as OpenGaming. Troy Zurawski, the CEO of Design Works Gaming, commented on the launch, stating:

“As soon as we sat down with Ed Andrewes and the team at Resorts, we knew these were our kinda people. They haven’t built their brand by following the crowd and neither have we—that’s probably why we get along so well.”

Zurawski stated further that the partnership will be a game-changer, with the new bespoke content and a reimagining of what a casino should look like coming from the team-up.

Ed Andrewes, the CEO of Resorts Digital Gaming, stated that the company is delighted to be working with DWG. Resorts feel that the company’s quality content has already performed well in Europe and should do the exact same in the United States.

The CEO also stated that DWG immediately understood the company’s audience demographic and it is expected that Resorts customers will love the new content coming out of the pipeline in the near future.

Moving into the United States

The launch in New Jersey is the first time that DWG has offered games in the US. The company plans to continue to extend its reach in the country with launches in other states in the future. Pennsylvania and Michigan are up next on the list of states the company wants to move into next. The company has already been approved for licensing in both states.

In the United Kingdom, the company has gained great acclaim since launching online real money games in 2020. For the ten years previous, DWG worked in the land-based and social gaming space. The content is live in the UK via such top-rated operators as William Hill, Kindred, and Betfred.

Analogue Pocket Competitor Tries To Be A Tribute To Game Boy

2024 marks the 35th anniversary of Nintendo’s Game Boy, and it remains one of the most influential and popular handhelds of all time. In 2021, the Analogue Pocket was launched as a way to give modern gamers a new option to play their Game Boy games as well as games from other discontinued handhelds. Now, Analogue Pocket has a new competitor in the form of ModRetro’s Chromatic, and it may be even more enticing to Game Boy fans.

The original Game Boy was bundled with Tetris at its launch, so it’s only fitting that the Chromatic will also be launching with Tetris included. Tetris is just one of the new Chromatic Game Boy carts launching alongside the handheld. Though the carts are designed with the Chromatic in mind, they will work with original Game Boy hardware. Additionally, all original Game Boy and GBC cartridges are supported.
